February is over!!  Over all it was good, started swimming and using the bike and eliptical with weekly increased time.  I enjoy the swimming.  My overall weight did drop consistantly during working out and swimming.  But the last week I could not workout as I was not feeling well.  So the result was a 1lb gain over the month.

March goals - Swim (3x week), start treadmill work (if Dr. ok'd - Dr. appt on March1) continue with ...

For today, still no real working out.  But will start again slowly this week.  Had a few stiches removed on Friday so still healing from that.  Today's workout: some ab work and pilates.

Finally was able to get into a shoe - not a pretty one but a shoe.  Foot still swells during the day and I still ice it at night.  But overall good.  The flexibility is starting to come back - walking still hurts slightly but getting better.  Hope to look for a show (Merrell) that I can wear to work and be comfortable.

Final dressings finally came off foot - scarring looks good.  Working on my toe mobility with excercises.  Still very stiff.  But no pain - hoping to be in shoe soon.

I'm in the home stretch, got the cast off on Monday.  Started working out using no-impact excercises (walking) in the house for 10 minutes.  Need to do physical therapy everyday to increase mobility in the toe.  So I do it 4 - 5 x.

Started doing callenetics workout since I can not do any type of impact workout yet.

Lost a few pounds (3) while out of commission, but mostly due to reduced calories.  At least I did not gain weight!!

Foot recovery is doing well.  Finally able to put it down and hop slightly on it.  One slight detour was I got a sinus infection with vertigo.  Nice challenge when you are on crutches.  After 9 days of meds and some home remedies the vertigo is starting to go away.

Looking forward to a wonderful (restrained) holiday season.  Tastes of the goodies without the over indulgence of the past.

Have a great holiday season!

Had my post-op review, foot is healing good.  Still need to be in the cast for 2more weeks.  My mobility is getting better and the pain is not bad either.  Had slight pain where the pin in in the little toe but it is better today.  Will be working ab workout more the next 2 weeks as well as upper body.  Overall feeling pretty good.

Well today is recovery day 4 - My foot is feeling much better and I am able to get around a lot better now that I am using a walker.  The crutches just do not allow for the necessary mobility I need to eat and just get around.  The pain is finally getting better - I have not needed any pain meds today so far.  I still have my foot elevated and iced a couple of times a day.  Earlier this week I was frustrated by the lack of mobility and thinking that I thought all of the po
