Staying on point

Vacation is over and I am proud of myself for staying on point and not give in to salty snacks, sweets and fattening foods.  I am back to work and with Halloween came delicious "junk".  It was everywhere in the office and I did enjoy a piece here and there.  I personally went out and bought cookies for everyone to share.  What's important about this is that I was under control.  I did not let a little slip be my excuse to go off my "Get Healthy" goals...

Energized

 It has been a steady 8 days of combining exercise with a drastic change in my diet, and my energy is unbelievable.  My muscles are a bit sore, but I am anxious for the workout.  I need this change, and I am the only one who can make it happen.  Focus on the future me....PUSH.

Muscle Milk

Day 01-
Used 2 scoops with 12oz of water and stirred.  Muscle Milk mixed well and tasted great.  I chose the Mocha Latte, which is close to what I "use" to drink at Starbucks.  I think if I blended this with ice, my chocolate cravings would be well satisfied.  As far as my workout performance, I did not notice any dramatic difference, but I will give it some time.  I would love to see muscle definition in my body, and slow the sagging process. ...

Scenic Saturday

Woke with lots of energy on Saturday morning, the kind that keeps you dancing throughout the day.  Took a brisk walk on the Ravenal Bridge for a bit of a challenge, with my husband and son along, it was fantastic.  The ocean views from the top of the bridge are breathtaking.  Afterwards we enjoyed  lunch, my salad and water hit the spot.  I was not even enticed to snatch one of my husband's french fries, which was a former habit.  We then went to our local G

Feeling Good

Today I joined my Mother and the ladies from the church to make different crafts for the Craft Fair to be held in November.  My will power had to kick in because lunch consisted of Hot Bean Chili, Whole Wheat Apple Strudel Muffins and Blueberry Fluff.  So tempting... but alas everyone finished eating and did not seem to notice I avoided this possible catastophe to my diet.  I safely made it home to enjoy a Michealina's Lean Three Cheese Chicken.

Fitness Fun

Yesterday was a great day of just getting out and moving.  Spent the day shopping with my Mother who is 73, window shopping and walking the mall.  This was good for her, good for me, but not so good for my wallet, unless you count how quickly it thinned out.  After arriving home, I quickly changed clothes, turned on some music and began my aerobic exercise (with weights).  About this time, my son came home and started imitating my movements, in a very humorous sort of way,

Inspiring me

Today is the first day of my vacation, and I am in the complete mindset of reinventing me.  I am typically a very ambitious person and have always loved the outdoors and exercise.  My pet peeves are laziness, procrastination and disorganization.  I also find it irritating when people focus more of their energy on the negatives instead of the positives.  Why they "can't" do this or "won't" do that, and even support it with lame reasoning.  I guess it m...

It is just before 07:00 a.m. in the morning, and I am ready for the day.  My plan is to select a local Gym to workout in and to get some fresh air.  I am now on vacation, and I intend it to make it all about Fun, Fitness and the elimination of FAT!!
