Major life changes = 10 pound gain

Managing my weight isn't just about how many calories I eat.  I have to do a reality check about my relationship with food.  I have to ask myself - why do I eat?  Is it out of hunger? Or emotion? Then I have to question my choice of food. Is it empty calories or nutrition my body needs? How can I get the most out of what I eat to satisfy both my hunger and cravings and loose weight.  Or, better yet.... to maintain my weight.&n...

This weight may be coming off SLOW SLOW SLOW but it's coming off!!!!! I started FitClick in January. It's now May and I'm just now down 19 pounds. That 20 pound mark now 1 pound away!!! WooHoo!!!!!!!!! I am constantly making changes to how I exercise and how I eat. Even after 5 months of "dieting" I'm still tweaking everything. Maybe I'll never stop tweaking because I'm in a constant state of change myself. You have to do what it takes to keep from being bored!! I haven't been journaling...

Feel like I'm in a Catch 22

When I was exercising every day and over doing it, I was losing weight. When I realized that over doing it was detrimental to my body, I took a few days off to recover and started to gain. Nope... can't let that happen. Now I'm easing back into exercising and making a few changes to what I was doing. I'm going up/down 1 pound and not holding the loss or progressing with any more loss. Losing weight is a battle and right now I'm tired of fighting the battle. This doesn't mean I'm going to st...

Thank you FitClick for the articles that you provide!!! They are so informative and have confirmed something I had been wondering about. I have noticed that I have been really really tired lately. It's getting harder and harder for me to do my workout. I was taking 1 day off but they have been few and far between and I began to wonder if I was working out TOO much. Well, I read the article about working out too much and by george, there were all my symptoms!! My poor muscles have been worked...

A co-worker brought donuts in today.  They are in a box on a table right in front of me.  I walked past that box and raised the lid to see if they were all gone yet.  Nope 4 left.  I could smell the sugar.  All I need to do is reach in with my free hand. Hmmmm which one do I choose....... there's 1 plain glazed, 2 glazed cake and 1...

This past Saturday was a high calorie day for me.  Ever since then, I've been struggling to stay within my calorie limits.  I can't seem to satisfy my hunger.  Today is a rest day for me and I can just feel the weight piling on with every bite I take.    Am I stress eating??  Possibly.  I feel hungry and no amou...

I have been doing the same workout video for hmmm.... 3 weeks now.  Yup, that's 6 days/week.  Within the workout, I'm doing different movements however, I also know that your body can find it's "comfort zone" with the workout where it doesn't feel like it has to work as hard to do the same movements.  I can sense this in the fact that this workout do...

I have been doing Leslie Sansone's 4 mile video and get nice and sweaty. Now I have purchased Gin Miller's Interval Step video hoping to get my butt kicked. Well, it has!! My knees can't tolerate all of her jumping around but even with eliminating all the "Jumps" it's still a butt kicker!! Loved it!! Great moves and it's FUN!! Since I've never done STEP before its taking me a long time to get the moves down. For some reason, some of the simplest moves make me feel like a klutz! But that's ...
