I'm proud to blog that I had friends over last night, and made a really good lean dinner. that meant that i ate with people, and only had one normal sized portion!
Also, the second they left, I decided to work out! I got in 20 minutes of intense cardio... and some floor stuff too.
i couldnt believe it!!
I decided that I'm going to hold onto my weekly goals... at least some of them:
I'm still not eating fries/chips etc.
I'm still getting in my 2L water ...

I am so proud of myself, and it's fun to blog on days like today !
Yesterday I was feeling very lethargic after work: my mother was over to watch the baby, and all I wanted to do was climb into bed with headphones and nap for a couple of hours... after all, it's not very often that I have someone to watch the baby, so I can get my much needed sleep!
When I left work, it was beautiful outside: -2oC, sunny, and the sun was very warm through my car windows. I decide...

my 3rd week of life-syle revamping is going pretty well.
I am on day 4 of my 20-minutes of Cardio daily, and I'm feeling good.
yesterday i decided to just skip the INTENSE cardio, and instead go for a nice brisk walk with my puppy and stroller (plus baby).
it worked out well for me, and i would like to make that a regular thing - but there's too many factors like weather and warmth for my baby - that could sink this as a regular plan, therefore it's a nice shift

I have to say, yesterday's workout was so powerful!
I burned 300 kcal in the time it took me to find and watch the first round of Jeopardy. As for my breathing... well... that could use some work, but my desire to work on this weekly goal was quite high.
I finished my cardio last night and felt amazing.
I need that feeling, and to remember that feeling, so that I can have the motivation to get back up tonight at do it again.
I also made the committment NOT to...

Things are looking up.
I'm happy, it's snowing (yes, first day of spring.. I know, I know...), it's almost in the PLUS degrees of the thermometer...
outdoor running will hopefully commence again soon...
I'm trying to change my lifestyle one step at a time.
Each week, I've been making one adjustment, and so far, I have been able to stick with it!
so far I have modified:
1) no chips / fries / onion rings / nachos
2) adding 8+ gl...

I feel heavy and bloated.
So many elemens that it could be due to, so I'm just keeping my head high and hoping that today I will be as srong as I was yesterday, and STRONGER!
My no-fries/nachos/chips/onion rings - week was successful last week, and i'm happy for that.
THIS WEEKS' GOAL: incorporate 6+ glasses of water into my diet, and cut down on the coffee. So far:
Monday: 11.5 cups
Tuesday 9.5 cups
Wednesday: 3 already conquered, and it's ...

it's a good morning.
after a terrible week of weaknesses, and a roller-coaster being good, then falling off track, and then being good again, and no motivation to work out in the evenings that i should... I had my 2 week weigh-in. and
I'm down 2.4 lbs!!
I'm definitely happy about that. I need to maintain it, and keep going lower. I am definitely making healthier choices when I'm faced with very tempting other ones.
My personal life is finally under-wa...

After my first bite of my greasy dinner last night, I decided that it's going to be a cheat night.
I don't think that things should work that way... I think that cheat night should be planned in advance. I'm definitely lacking in the self-motivation category, so i need help!!
I even splurged on a triple-chocolate frozen cake last night, and had more than one serving of that. I felt a bit bad afterwards, but I was awake and metabolizing for another 4 hours afte

So far I've been successful in keeping the fries/chips/nachos/onion rings out of my diet this week, and I have also planned for week 3 what I will be cutting out (all morning stops to my local Timmy's for a bagel/coffee). Success is an understatement, since I have 2 opened bags of chips in my cupboard, unopened nachos, and I dine out daily at work, as it's included.
Money is a bit tight, but I am making it work, so for my dining out, i just stick with healthy choices. ...

After falling hard last week, kidding myself that I was actually making progress, i decided this week to take it slow, with the help of Tictease (THANK YOU!)
I woke up Saturday morning to a nice encouraging msg in my inbox. I cashed in on the encouragement, and decided to cut out one thing per week, for a few weeks, just like she did.
This week (started Saturday morning) - I'm cutting out fries/chips/nachos, and my beloved onion rings.
That is my pledge ...
