Yesterday I decided to do a "trial" fast from food only, but still drank water and had my coffee in the morning. The first part of the day was easy since I slept in. It didn't get rough until later in the evening after hubby & I's run. Around 10pm I was tired, but couldn't sleep. When 12AM hit my "trail" fast was over and I ate TWO peanut butter & guava sandwiches with 2 cups of fat free milk. At the time, it was the best pb&j sandwich I

Stopped with counting calories, but continued with running. Started have foot issues due to shoes. Started doing weight training, but wasn't enjoying it due to weight gain. I know muscle weighs more, but the whole mind game isn't fun for me. Continued running and got up to 5 miles non-stop, but at a price. My feet just got worse. So, waiting for the $$ to save up to buy new shoes and give my feet some time to relax and heal up. Thinking I also need to start counting my calories aga

First and for most, I'm so grateful to GOD for helping me. Thanks to HIM, I've consistantly ran 2.5 - 3 miles non stop. Like with most of us, doesn't matter whether you're first starting out, have gotten to where I'm at, or are in the higher mileage groups; WE ALL experience those negative mind battles. Those mental battles you have with yourself when you're hearing one voice telling you "Yeah, sure you've worked hard and you deserve to take a walk break." or "C'mon, just one...

Got new shoes yesterday! Adidas CC Oscillation W. Light weight and decently comfy. I'm up to completeing 2 miles non-stop. But not totally consistant yet. So, far I've successfully completed (2) 2 mile runs non-stop with 5 days apart. Weather is the key! When it's nice and cool outside I can BREATHE better and go far without breaks. Gotta work on my speed though. All in all, I'm happy with my progress.

Yesterday I didn't eat much, just wasn't hungry. Plus, was busy gathering together coupons for my grocery lists, then went and completed the shopping trips. By the time I got home it was time for dinner. While hubby completed his run, I cooked...when he got back I did my run.
My run felt good. Gave myself 22 minutes total. The first half was an easy - normal pace, jogged until I hit 11 minutes left, walked for one minute, completed the remaining at an easy pace.

Between my ankle injury last year, food allergy issues and tracking everything; I just plain got tired and discouraged. Been yo-yoing weight wise, which is normal for me. Glad I didn't gain all the weight back, but not happy that I'm pretty much stuck where I'm at.
Hubby decided to come back to calorie counting, so I figured I'd give it another try too.
Taking the whole running scene in SLOWLY this time. Not gonna plan any thing major until next year. Though it al...

My desire/ energy levels are LOW these days. My body is NOT reacting well to having to do just 8 miles. I completed my first 8 mi long run this past Sunday resulting in the next two days of my pelvic muscles being sore and crampy. Decided to take it easy and skipped my 2 mi run on Tuesday. Defered my 6 mi from Thursday to today. It didn't turn out well. At 1.5 miles into my run my pelvic muscles started hurting again. So I only completed 2.4 out of the 6 I was supposed to do today. I ...
