It's time to get EXTREME baby!!

Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 5:10 PM filed under Weight Loss postings

So as i meantioned i gained a few pounds…. so what? i’m gonna get them off…but after that…. it seems as though that i’ve plateaued! you’re body plateaus just about every 4 weeks. It gets used to specific activity that you do and then your caloric burn seems to taper of and then a plateau occurs.

Time to switch things up!

By switching up your work outs you’re able to break plateaus and keep your body guessing of what ki

Ups and Downs

Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 4:51 PM filed under Weight Loss postings
So after I think i'm on a roll and almost to my weightloss goal..i totally lose control!

Between Cinco de Mayo and Mother's Day i think i lost my mind and went on a complete drinking and eating binge and gained 10 POUNDS! 10! WTF! Being around people who don't have the same weightloss and fitness goals can sometimes lead to distraction and loss of self control! There is no one to blame but myself and you know what its OK! i did what i did and now its time to get back on track...

“I’m Mrs. she’s too big, now she’s too thin…”

When it comes to weight loss and weight gain I've come to the realization that you just can't win.

Either you're too fat or you're too thin. You work out too much or too little. Everyone has an opinion on what you should or should not be doing. Currently i'm feeling like the Britney Spears song "Pieces of Me".

my love/hate relationship with the gym

Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 2:34 PM filed under Exercise & Fitness postings

I've always hated the gym. I'd rather lay in bed or on the couch watching TV than walk on the treadmill that makes me feel like a hamster.

Now that i'm seeing results from weight lifting and fat burning i'm really starting to love it. The results have taken a while to show but i kept at it and didn't quit like i would have done in the past and now its paying off! Since i loathe the treadmill and only go on it when absolutely necessary my workouts of choice are all of the classe

weekend setbacks

Monday, March 29, 2010 at 12:05 PM filed under General postings
Why is it you can work so hard during the week to control your calories and work your ass off but the second the weekend rolls around it can be all shot to hell in a matter of 2 days?

This weekend I new my mom was coming to visit me and that we'd be going out to eat, then my friend was coming into visit and we'd be doing something i'm sure that consisted of food or alcohol. My mom and i had a great lunch and it was way beyond the calories i should have eaten so after she left i we...

eat to live or live to eat?

Friday, March 26, 2010 at 11:53 AM filed under General postings

Everyone reaches a point in their life when they are feeling down, depressed or lost…and sometimes during those times…we live to eat.  As an emotional eater myself i did just that. Food makes me happy. I never lets me down. It’s always there for me when need it.  I always viewed eating as an event. I love to order in. i love restaurant foods. i love going out to eat…i think you get it! I LOVE FOOD!

Needless to say, i was 110% living to eat, and whi

I think about food 24/7. seriously. its kind of crazy.

no matter how hard i work out, no matter how many hours i spend at the is always on my mind (even when i'm walking on the treadmill) i don't understand how people can watch the food network while on the treadmill. i'm hungry enough just being there!

Burritos, gyros, nachos, wendy's, mcdonalds, taco bell, margaritas, french fries... oh my!

I live in new york city. there is food ju...

you are what you EAT

Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 12:53 PM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings
As the saying goes "you are what you eat!" seriously! you really are.

You don't have to deprive yourself of the foods you love but portion control and accountabillity of what goes in your mouth KEY.

I know weight watchers points counting and tracking is annoying but when you do works.

I've decided to count calories instead of WW points. I'm lazy so i like the easiest and quickest ways to do things.  If anyone has...
