    Congratulations for getting back on the horse so to speak. That being said - starting with running if you haven't done it in forever in a day (or ever) is just asking for injuries. My suggestion is to start very slowly. 8 days consucutive of walking (briskly) to get the body accustomed to the movement etc. Then you should follow a running program for beginners. My suggestion is to got to and click on the tab training then beginners (on left hand side). I have been part of this site for years! I am an active runner and know the importance of stretching etc. But first you must learn to walk before you can run. INJURIES will just get you discouraged.
