  • i found this site, and i'm loving it! i am 46, and have been overweight for most of my life.  numerous diets and odd ball things have happened in my life and i have always felt like i am trying to please everyone else, and to be what everyone else wants me to be.  i am a strong person, so why do i do this?  well, this time it's all for me!so what's different this time? i want to feel good and i want to be happy in my body!  i am going to try very hard to keep my food journal going because it has already been a huge help in seeing how many calories, etc i am eating per day. another important thing about me... i had lapband surgery in october 2005.  this does not fix everything.  i developed something new... i started throwing up... ALOT!  i'm adjusted well now and ready to try to just eat healthy... more protein less carbs.  i lost over 100 pounds from october 2005 to december 2006.  and then got married and slowly gained back 70 pounds.  all of my own doing!  or un-doing.  i am in very good health in that i don't take any medications... oh wait, i am supposed to be taking blood pressure medicine when i remember. i'm working on getting more excerice into my life... baby steps.
