    I just did it..i joined a gym today..my goal is to get a few workouts in a week at lunch..weights mainly and continue to do some cardio a few days in the morning at home..we will see how it goes..but i am optimistic..

    There isn't actually a way to strengthen the knee itself, but you definitely can strengthen the muscles that support the knee structure so that they are absorbing the impact vs your joints themselves. Quads, hamstrings, glutes, abs and actually lower back strength too will all help...and as your supporting muscles get stronger you'll notice that you feel power coming from your muscles vs stress on...
