Back at the Gym

Well, after a week off due to a cold, I returned to the gym. A week ago I was able to run 2 miles straight. Today I barely made it to 1.75 miles. Oh well, it could have been worse. The most amazing part is that I was still able to drop 2 more pounds last week. Goal weight here I come!!

I hate having a cold. I've had to skip my last three workouts due to this stupid cold! Oh well, next week will be better and I'll get back on track.

Raining In LA

I love it when it rains in LA the gym has less people because everyone is afraid to go out and get wet. Even at 5AM the gym which usually isn't that busy. A little rain will NOT keep me from my workout. Imagine if these people had to relocate to Seattle!! They'd get nothing done! Just a thought.

I'm up to day 17 of 365 for 2010. I'm feeling good about myself and noticing some subtle changes in my body. The best part is that my wife and kids are starting to notice a sleeker more toned husband and father walking around the house.

Slow and Steady

Well, since I've started I have been losing weight at a slow but steady pace. I try not to weigh myself too much because my wife says I'm becoming obsessed. She may be right but I'll never tell. Still having a beast of a time waking up at 4:30am. Luckily tomorrow is a gym off day. Then off to the races the rest of the week. By this time next year I will be a slim and tone 180 pounds. I need to get myself some good multi-vitamins Anyway, I'm done rambling for now.

Half the battle

I wake up every weekday morning a 4:30 and begin the mental gymastics to get myself out of bed, dressed and ready for the gym. I start by giving myself just 10 minutes more to snooze. In my head I'm continually talking myself out of bed, "come on you'll feel better once you're up". I eventually get out of bed at around 4:45 and drag myslef to the bathroom. After a moment of looking at my face and thinking how tired I look I begin to brush my teeth. From that point it's all down hill. L...

Running Smoother

My cardio today went better then expected. I walk a lap at 3.8 and run a lap at 7.5 and usually get winded at the end of the run lap. Not the case today, each lap was smooth and no gasping for air after each lap. The bounce back was shorter also heart rate back to 140 after just half a lap of walking after the run lap.

Feeling good, have a workout rest day tomorrow. The diet part is becoming easier, I am definitely more aware of the things I eat.

Day Off

So today is a day off from the gym after four straight days. I feel as if i'm missing out although I know that my body needs a day of healing. Oh well, back to the gym tomorrow morning. I can't wait. WOO HOO.

First Week

Well, I have finished my first week and have lost a total of 3.5 pounds. at this rate I should be at my goal weight by September. I have made a promise to myself to get in the best shape of my life. By the end of this process I will have lost just under 50 lbs. Now if only I could get through my abs routine without wanting to barf.
