My success has continued.  I'm now at 150lbs..give or take a few ounces.  Still maintaining the same eating plan, though I have not been as diligent in logging..... (I know this is risky.)  The exercise has continued.  When the weather is nice I walk outside, ususally about an hour.  My goal is still 145, but I might keep working to 140 as a cushion.  We'll see.  Anyway, the clothes feel good and I'm thrilled about how I look overall.

My weight loss and bible study group wrapped up this  evening with a victory celebration where we all brought in something to eat that we made with natural ingredients replacing the fatty ingredients.....

As a group we all lost weight.  I'm down 12 lbs and have lost more than 6 inches.  I'm thrilled and will continue my goal of losing another 10-12....

I've reduced my wine consumption to almost nothing and am drinking lots of water, eating more fruit ...

Commitment & Accomplishment

Friday, March 26, 2010 at 10:55 AM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings
Since I began my weight loss journey at the first of the year, I've been true to my goals.  I'm really pleased with myself and have lost about 12 lbs and weigh in at 156. My goal is still 145, so I have a ways to go, but I think I can continue this eating routine indefintely and am looking forward to the exercise.  I feel better, look better and am physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually balanced.   Thank you Lord!!

Down in Florida for a mini-getaway.  Amazing, but I'm still on my plan.  I've been counting calories and maintaining.  The bathing suit doesn't look to bad after all.  Though it's been cold, got out to tan a little today.  Getting a little color makes me feel better.  I'll have to fill in my calories when I get home.

Milestone Achieved

Friday, February 26, 2010 at 3:24 PM filed under Weight Loss postings
I broke through the 160 doldrums.  I'd been there for a long time and couldn't get down.  I've weighed in at 159.9, 159.5 and this morning 159.1....the gym called and said I've achieved 75K points..(of course that took me 6.5 years since I've been inconsistent..)  But the main thing is I've been working on the new me.
I've found ways to resist temptation and keep myself in check.  I have a great group of ladies to meet with and we help each other stay focused on our ba...

Weigh In Worries

Monday, February 1, 2010 at 9:15 AM filed under Weight Loss postings

Off to the gym to get weighed and measured. Our gym has a fitness challenge... 'the new you in the new year'... a mini-biggest loser deal.  I started with them a month ago, though I began in earnest about 2 weeks ago.  Still feel fat... run to the scale to make sure I'm not imagining the .4 loss from the previous day.  What to wear... heavy clothes or light ones?  I'll check back later after the deed is done.  I have been going to the gym almost daily, but don't have

Menu Dilemna

Went out to dinner with a friend last night.  Checked the online menu first so I knew what I could have and I stuck to it.   Pepper steak (lots of veggies..).  Ate 1/4 of the rice.  Had salad with balsamic - good.... but did ask for the bleu cheese... bad.  Had only 1 glass of cab sav....  not too bad.  I ate a piece of brown bread.  It was so good I ate the whole thing....

Always a challenge, this behavior modification. Watched the 'Bi...

Just Do It

Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 12:06 PM filed under Exercise & Fitness postings
No more excuses!  It's time to get fit and lose weight and be healthy. In a way it's good it's freezing outside with snow on the ground.  No reason not to go to the gym and run, jump, push or pull.  It's a slow process, so I'm pulling in all of my mental, emotional and spiritual resources to keep me on track.  Good luck me!!
