Over the Hump

Finally!!  I made it past that plateau!  I cut my calories and worked-out harder with different muscle groups than the usual workout, and it worked. 

I am re-motivated to keep going and stay on a good eating plan, plus I heard from my doctor yesterday.  She congratulated me on my 19lb. weight loss, and encouraged me to keep going by reminding me of my blood test results.  I am going to get another blood test in May, so I will let you know how much better t...

I have to get serious about working out. I've been good, working out almost every day, but I am stuck weight wise.  I can't get down to my pre-vacation weight.  I am just bobbing up and down!  Time to pull out the weights, big ball and add some Wii Fit moves (I love Wii Fit, it's really fun!).  Wish me luck folks, I'd really like to get on with this!

I Love Pasta, Ugh!

Okay, yesterday I was rejoicing that I loved sushi, today I am regretting that I have alove affair with pasta!  To compound problems, I don't really like whole wheat pasta.

Today, I had alfredo light pasta sauce.  It was pretty good.  I haven't had fettucini alfredo for months, so it was a welcome relief.

Does anybody have any good light alfredo recipes out there that I can make at home?  Help!

I love sushi!   I could live on it.  There are so many variations.

Some of the best sushi is homemade by oneself.  Asian markets are popping up everywhere, making it easier to find once hard to get ingredients.  Just think of the various foods you like.  Veggies, sauces in moderation, some fruit, shrimp, fish and even chicken, if you want.

Getting the right mixture for the rice is important.  I use a combination of sweet Japan...

One Pound At A Time

Okay, it's seeming to be one pound at a time these days.  I guess if I look at the glass 1/2 full, that would mean I could lose 7 lbs./week!  That would be cool.

My weight loss is not seeming to be the issue; it's the speed of the loss that's bumming me out.  I just need to workout longer, and get back to those weights!

Back in the Saddle Again

Back to my routine of eating well and working out, and lost 3lbs.  I really want to lose a bunch of weight before I go camping this summer, so I can hike with ease and look better in a bathing suit.

I am so sick of being fat, but weight loss is so slow!  How come I can gain 8-10 lbs. in a week, but only lose 2-4lbs. a week.  It's not fair!

My daughter and I started working out on the Wii last night; what a blast!  I did it again today, because it was so much fun!  I also had to beat my daughter at a few activities to give her something to strive for.

I did the short run, twice, the hoola-hoop toss, the penguin balance, the ski jump challange and I burned about 150 cals.

I think I'm going to do the run again after dinner!
