Fill 'Er Up

Hit the road in my car every weekend this month. And, I am happy to report that I did not hit any fast food venues along the way. In the past, road trips have always been an excuse to stock up on snacks at 7-11 or stop at McDonald's for lunch. These days I'm packing a mini-cooler with my own beverages & treats. I brought some 100 Calorie Packs which I know are gimmicky (more packaging & more money). But, portion control is a must for any diet plan especially when it comes to snack foods. I mean, who pops open a big bag of chips and knows when he or she has eaten a "serving"? (No one.) The 100 Calorie Pack, albeit not always satisfying, allows you to eat junk foods you like and does not make you feel too guilty about it. Recommendation: Hostess Strawberry Cupcakes 100 Calorie Pack. I recently discovered these tasty treats. Good substitution for people who like donuts.
