Hoop Dreams

Today marked a new day - I felt the best I have in years. I weighed in on the scale at work a couple of days ago and to my delight found out I have lost another 5 lbs!! I am 48 days into my lifestyle change and have managed to lose a grand total of 8 pounds. What a great way to start out after my vacation where I slacked off a bit haha. I really feel like I can swing this as a lifestyle change and not just some "diet". I'm planning to use the recipie search feature to track down some of my more fav meals, like those that feature  chicken and pork, green beans, pasta's, salads, that sort of thing. I can't wait to stock my larder and start tracking what I eat, too.
    I went for a rather shortish cardio interval session tonight because of the wind. Two pairs of pants, two shirts, two jackets (both windbreakers) gloves, and a skimask type thing and I was broiling!! But as soon as the wind touched my skin, my sweat felt like ice a couple of moments after. The trees on the side of the road were roaring like the ocean so I got a bit spooked at the thought of one of those old snags crashing down on me. There was a wind warning in effect so I was cautious...I turned back way before I normally would. It didn't really help that it was dark out thank goodness for my LED headlamp courtesy of the dollarstore it worked great. I am planning on finishing it all off with a hooping session to make up for a late night plate of glazed bacon hubby brought out, bless him...haha but I'll hoop it off in no time I hope
