I'm new to this, never blogged.  This year in May decided I needed to do something to speed up wieght loss.  I'm a 43 year old male, 6 feet tall, and wieghed 232 pounds.  I was eating healthy, but the loss was very slow.  I decided to start running.  I started out very slow.  I ran maybe a half to three quarters of a mile then walked home.  I built on this though, and made myself a deal never to do less that I did the day before.

Today, six months later I'm running 4.5 miles a day, and doing it in about 35 minutes.  In six months I've lost 30 punds, but the real "good stuff" is my blood pressure is down 20 points, and my cholesterol (sp?) is better than it's been in twenty years.  I had a physical last week, my DR cut my blood pressure meds in half, and took me off the cholesterol drug.

I started on this site to get a lifting routine.  It will soon be a little cool to run outside, and I'd like to add some muscle mass also.
