Well, this is it.  My goal is to be fit by forty.  I have 2 years.  Why 40?  Over a 2 year period I put on almost 70 pounds and I've carried it now for 8 years.  I want to be healthy and fit, not just thin.  I want to be energetic and alive!!!  To do this right it is probably going to take me close to 2 years to reach my fitness goals.

Long Term Goals:
To be physically fit and strong.
To increase bone density.
Lose 70 lbs.
To develop a healthy active lifestyle and live!!!

In the past, the only way I've been able to lose weight is through prayer...asking God for the will and strength to make the choices needed to lose weight and exercise.  When I've asked God for the desire to exercise and to not overeat, He has given it to me and I always feel better and lose weight.  However, I stay committed to praying for my health and lifestyle no more than a month.  Why do I stop praying?  Beats me!  But I always do.  So, God will be with me on this journey because I cannot do it without Him!  I've  tried many times to do this on my own and I have failed everytime.  This blog will help me to stay focused and remind me to put God first and ask Him for strength and determination to stay committed to reaching my goals.
Short Term Goals:
I want to lose 7 lbs by November 30, 2009.
Walk/Jog 2 miles in 30 minutes by November 30, 2009.
