Trick & Treating Myself

Halloween always kicks off the Season for Over-Indulgence. Each year, I buy candy for neighborhood trick-or-treaters. But, the number of kids that actually knock on the door is pretty tough to predict. And, I find myself stuck with a 3/4-full bowl at the end of the night. This year, I decided to purposefully buy candy that I don't really like -- Trick myself, rather than Treat myself. So, I filled my bowl with Mounds, Skittles, and 3 Muskateers, and stayed away from my favorites, Reese's Cups, Snickers, and Peanut M&Ms. I figured this would decrease the likelihood of sticking my hand in the bowl every time I walked by it. Today, I realized I made a serious miscalculation. Foiled. Busted. Instead, I'm just eating candy that I don't really like.
