So I've discovered Almonds. 1/4 cup a day is only 170 cal and makes a great morning snack and wards off the lunch hunger pains when I don't get to eat lunch until 2 or 3pm. Hopefully, this will also help with my high cholesterol. I mentioned in my status that I'm learning to listen to my body more about food. I don't like to feel miserable after eating, so I learned to recognize when my stomach was getting full. And I've been able to stop eating what's on my plate. Sometimes it amazes me that I'm full because I haven't eaten much. But it makes me happy. I'm not depriving myself of the things I like. I'm just learning how much is enough. I'm also tweaking my diet a little, adding more protein and less carbs, watching my sodium intake closer, and adding some variety in my meals. I'm feeling better about myself and people are noticing. I've lost weight in my back and chest, and my stomach is getting flatter. :) Also, happy belated turkey day everyone! I hope the day wasn't too difficult!
