2010 - A New Beginning

Well, it's a New Year --- and what better to do with a New Year than to start fresh! My fresh start has begun in many different ways...one of which include losing a great deal of weight (115 pounds), as well as getting my personal health back in check. I have finally reached a point where I have decided that enough is simply that - ENOUGH! I am far too young for all of the health problems that I have encountered over the last six months alone - and I know that the first step in correction/control lays within me taking control of my health and weight. The plan of action is already set into my complete January calendar...I am starting off 'slow' just to get back into the "swing" of things...but if I know me - it won't take as long as I have allowed myself. I have a very addictive personality - and I know it won't take much before I can't get enough exercise again --- after all, there was a time and place that I was exactly like that (what happened!?!?!). At any rate, the time has come for some serious change. It is my goal to get rid of this extra person I carry around with me by December 1, 2010 - that's roughly 10 pounds a month (2.5 pounds a week). I absolutely CAN do this! I yo-yo 10 pounds around all of the time - so if I can take it off just to put it back on every other time I turn around, I should be able to find a way to take it off - and keep it off!
Exercise Goals:
Kickboxing (4x p/wk)
upper strength (3x p/wk)
lower & core strength (3x p/wk)
cardio (6x p/wk)
Calorie Goal:
1200-1300 p/day
Goal Weight:
160 pounds
Goal Loss:
115 pounds
Eventually, I will set up mini-goals and rewards for reaching those goals...but for now, I just wanted to get my mind set straight!
