So I kind of skipped some things

Ok! So I realized I didn't really introduce myself yesterday very well. I figure if people ( even if it's just me thinking someone's read this) read this, and I admit to my workout goals and failures and diet goals and failures, it'll keep me going. However, if no one really knows anything about me, then I think I may dissociate from this blog. So here goes! Hi! I'm Andrea. I'm 20 years old and I weigh 163.5 lbs (or I did on Saturday when I started). I've been the exact same weight since grade 10 in high school which was something around 7 years ago. I've tried dieting and exercising, but as we all know, sometimes you just give up, and being the kid that I was I definetly did. Now, I know I'm lucky to not have gained any weight for years, but the thing is, it also means I really haven't lost any either. Each year since I was 18 I've been telling myself, Ok... this is the year that I do it, this is the year that I get fit. And of course, something always comes in the way, whether it's school, work, friends, family or a boyfriend.

Well some things have changed now, I'm in a wonderful relationship with someone who supports me and won't let me fail. I'm turning 21 this year and... as I've said before, this is it. This is the year I'm going to be accountable to myself and I'm going to lose the weight. The biggest challenge I see to this, is I just moved back home into my parents house after travelling for the last 10 months. They don't know what eatting healthy is, and everytime I diet, mom tries to sabotage it. She was arguing with me about whether I can eat a brownie last night. Luckily, my will power is still strong.

Well anyways, I've started a diet, taking in about 1300-1450 calories a day and I'm doing pretty well, except for last night... I went to dinner with my family. I had chicken strips and fries which knocked me 500 calories over my limit and didn't have time to workout... Ok that's kind of a lie. I could have worked out, I was just lazy. But I did do crunches and 12 push-ups (which I'm quite proud of lol). The rain keeps me from the gym alot of the time and I know it's terrible, but I don't drive... so I walk 20 minutes to the bus then another 5 minutes to the gym after that. So I'm pretty much soaked by the time I get there. But I'm fighting through that.

So here we go. I'm hoping to lose about 10 lbs between now and Feb. 25th as that's my birthday. Wish me luck because I know this isn't going to be easy.
