Anything but the truth is a LIE!!!

In this weight-loss challenge I have put myself in as a result of one of my friends dying on the surgery table getting his stomach stapled, I realized a lie about being healthy and fit can kill you.  My friend, Ron, was like myself, morbidly obese.  He would kid himself about what he was doing health wise.  He ate like a competitive eater everyday with me, the enabler, right by his side bite for bite.  He was in denial about his eating, he was in denial about why he was eating so much and so was I.  If the drive-through employees at McDonald's knew the sheer rage I would be in about them taking longer than five minutes to feed me they would move a whole lot quicker.  They were playing with their physical well-being by not having my food in my hands in five minutes or less.  Ron had actually become openly hostile with one restaurant in our city.  I never needed food so bad that threats and/or acts of violence should have been a consideration, but it was.  I was lying to myself when my wife pointed out how I would mean mug (scowl) at the drive-thru cashier for my food until I caught a glance at myself in the rear view mirror...hey, I was mean mugging.  I am going to stop lying about food, my health, and why I overeat.  I have a wife and kids who need and love me.  If they would miss me half as much as I miss Ron it hurts thinking about not being there for them because I ate bad and didn't exercise.  From this moment on anything but the truth is a LIE!!!
