"Let's Start at the Very Begining"

Hello Fellow Weightloss Voyagers!!!!

My name is Jay.

I am starting today on a "voyage" that I  probably should have begun quite a while ago.

Like all of us here (I assume), I need to lose a considerable amount of weight.

I am currently 216lbs.  All the "Charts" say for my height (5'9") I should be between 141 and 169lbs. That meaning, by their scale, I should lose 57 pounds just to be at "Healthy Weight".  Let me tell you all something. If I lost 57lbs, I would look like a famine victim.

Any way here I am, 42, and my health is still realitively good.

I went for a check up the other day.

The Doc, who as probably one of my best friends, says "Jay, Your very overweight! You ever think about losing weight?"

Now I see this guy at least once a week, and have for about the past 9 years.  My question to him (after suggesting he copulate with himself), was "Why did you wait until I got "Very Overweight"?

None the less, here I am. Hoping to find some type of support.
