Hi! I'm Julie. I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids. I am borderline overweight according to my BMI. I seriously hate it. Unfortunately, I'm very lazy. I'll admit it. Laziness is a big struggle with me. I would rather sit and watch people on TV work out rather than work out. I also won't work out in front of others, it causes anxiety. I get more concerned with who might be watching me, rather than focused on what I'm supposed to be doing. It is sad. I had it.
I will say that I love to walk. Walking is my favorite. I wish that my husband would let me buy a treadmill so that I could walk. He isn't willing to spend the money. I have walked very long distances and really enjoy it. Especially when I'm walking with other people and have my music with me. I participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and we walk 40 miles in a weekend. I usually lose about 3 pounds that weekend. It is great fun and inspiring. I am doing it again in Charlotte, NC this year and in Chicago, IL next year. I can't wait! Hopefully, I'll be able to raise all the money I need to participate... Love to walk.
I hope to get back to the weight I was on my wedding day. I know I have a lot going against me, like my age- I'm 36. I gotta' work on it. I would like to lose at least 10 pounds between now and an event I am attending May 1st. Crossing my fingers.
