How the Journey Begins

Welcome to my page,

I wanted to personally take the time to feel you all in on why i decided to take this journey. I decided to take this journey because I want to be healthy in the inside. I had seriously been stuffing my face for the last past years with things that could possibly outlive me. I want to live longer then the food so i decided to but down all of my bad habits and shout to myself "That in order to Be Healthy" I would need to be proactive and thats exactly what i did.
    I started my journey offical on Jan 1 2010 . Fresh year and new start. I read the book Skinny bitch, which encouraged me to take a slow tranformation into veganism / vegeterian deit. I was so use to eating fast food, junk food, soul food that at first my body resisted everything that can and is concerned healthy. But with alot of work I conquered most of my tempatations caffiene, sugar, salt, and replaced time with more healthier choices like fruits, veggies, juice, stevia, sea salt.
    The key to losing weight is throwing all your unhealthy straight out the window and finding healthy alternatives. For example instead of eating refined foods ( white rice, pasta, bread) eat brown rice, wheat pasta and whole grain bread. I made it plain so you can get the picture and understand that you dont have to deprive yourself from anything.
  Being a vegetarian has taught me to be more cautious of what i put into my body, now I read lables, and watch my intake on salt , sugar, carbs, protein and fat. Dont get me run this journey has not always been peaches and cream but like any civilzed person I will keep pushing forward to conquer my goals.
