Can I put talk into action?

I have about a month until my next "celebration" and I'm sort of glad because I need to kick my ass in shape. Valentine's day was nice. My boyfriend and I double dated with his sister and her boyfriend. Our first top after picking up  everyone was to the beach. It was nice walking down the beach with him and hearing words that added up to, "I support you and we are going to do this together." We decided that once a month we would go see a movie. The other three weeks will be going to the beach, hiking, or taking some random adventure. I think that's a great idea. We get one day to relax, spoil ourselves to see a movie. By going to the beach, I feel it will remind me and keep motivating me because a goal for the beach is a good body to show off in a swimsuit of some sort. My goal is to look good in my two piece, but before I can get there, to fit into a one piece comfortably. Plus, I fell in love with hiking when my family use to go camping and I went on a family trip once hiking the glaciers in Montana. I also think that on beaches and in hiking, I have a chance to try to get closer to my boyfriend, since the stress of school and work and everything else sort of kills our time together.

I can't promise myself fresh food that will definitely keep me on a healthier track to losing weight, but I can promise myself to make better choices at fast food places or in terms of eating serving sizes. I also hope to get more time at the gym. My boyfriend and I's main goal is to go to the gym at least Tuesdays and Thursdays. I want to add one more day to that, but I am back to not having a car for a while and I rather go to the gym with him than alone. I'm not worried about that though, because once I finish cleaning my room and removing a coffee table from the center, I will have room to do the workout DVDs that I own. First off, let me remind everyone I'm a big fan of watching the Biggest Loser. Although I have no time to watch in when it shows, I always watch in online pretty much over the weekend. The first DVD I own is from the trainer Bob, and it's Weight Loss Yoga. This DVD is amazing. You will definitely feel the burn, yet it relaxes you so much that I always end up sleeping well that night. The second DVD I own is from the trainer Jillian. I have not done it all the way because it's new to me. It has a warm up and a warm down plus seven circuits that are mostly kickboxing. I have only made it through the second circuit, but I think it was because I was trying to keep up with the DVD on the first time. When I don't go to the gym, I will hopefully be walking the mile I planned out around the neighborhood I live in, and/or I will do one of these DVDs. Who knows, I may end up staying on Level 1 and doing it before bed so that I can get all my stress, angers, and whatever else is on my mind out during yoga. Personally, yoga clears my head really well to the point that I will not remember what was bugging me before.

I also need to get my emotional eating under control. I think I have been doing well on that because I haven't really been letting my emotions get the best of me since my dog passed away. I really want to train myself so that when I feel like I'm going to go into an emotional eating phase, I get out of the house and walk away whatever it is that's making me want to eat.

To me, everything I just journaled is talk. Hopefully this week it'll start showing in actions. My weigh ins are on Sundays. I weight myself first thing in the morning after my first trip to the bathroom. If I forget to do it then, then I don't weigh myself until the week after. I try not to weigh myself during the week because I have weekly goals, and I feel I may want to harm myself if I know what progress is actually going on. Last Sunday I gained .3 pounds, but I know that this week I'm going to try to lose more than .3 pounds. I will take any number as long as it's in a loss direction.

They say another thing to help you lose weight is to get sleep, so I'm going to head off to bed so I can attempt waking up tomorrow morning.
