Wow! today was really awful! mostly because of what i did to myself yesterday..  the night before last i pulled an all nighter to study for my test then had to get up yesterday morning and sit at the doctor's office all day.. i tried to study there but it was painful on my neck and back to look down at my book in my lap and there were so many people in there, so many old people lol.. i don't think there was a soul in there under 50years old. i knew i couldn't get any of them to hold my book up for me lol  -- well when i got in to see the doctor, finally, he told me that i could decrease the dosage on the steroids by half and i should be off of them within the next two weeks..and we're going to do an MRI monday, finally, so i'll have some definite answers of why my back didn't fully heal with just the steroids. anyway after that i came home and studied some more, why not, i couldn't sleep because my uncle was here fixing the bathroom and making a crap ton of noise busting up tile and hammering etc, didn't really help me study either.. but then i had to leave early to get to class because i forgot to buy a scantron sheet so i had to search a few bookstores for that.. (blah blah this blog is getting really long) finally got to take my test and i was sooo stressed out i thought i was going to throw up in the middle of it, i didn't though, thank God.. but anyway i really just tried my best and then after the test i stopped over to my friend's wedding dinner party because i really wanted to see them and i knew i wouldn't be able to go home and crash with my nerves all worked up after the test ..but i had fun and we talked for forever it seemed.. didn't make it home til about 11pm... so that was my business yesterday..
today--let me just say..being on steroids is really tough.. they cause your whole body to swell and today was extra painful because i had no rest for practically two days.. i didn't really crash til about 1am last night and then when i woke up this morning my legs hurt SO BAD.. my knees and my ankles literally felt like they were ripping and tearing apart.. i thought maybe getting under my mom's electric blanket would help me so i crawled into her room turned it up on high and lied there for about an hour crying and jerking around from all the sharp pains..it felt like someone was cutting my feet and legs off.. it was horrible.. the heat did help it go away eventually and when i thought it was better and i eased out to the kitchen and tried to just get some circulation going but within 20mins the severe pain was back. I decided wet heat would work faster than the dry heat of the electric blanket so i ran an extremely hot shower and it did work within about 20mins to decrease the pain. Leaned up against the shower wall i decided that this might be an all day thing.. i mean i did wear my body out but constantly going for two days and it just was not gonna let up.. so i got out of the shower as quickly as about a 80 year old, put on my favorite pj shirt, grabbed all my pillows turned on spongebob loud enough to hear in my mom's room and i lied under her electric blanket all day with my legs elevated.. it hurt really bad.. it's done this once before while being on this medicine but it went away a lot quicker last time.. my mom finally came home around 12:30 and brought me lunch, and tights to put on my legs for swelling.. i ate and then slept til 4:30pm or so.. my legs are still achy but the sharp pains are gone and i can i actually walk a little bit now.. but i guess for the rest of the night i'm gonna keep my feet up and watch pay per view.. screw worrying about a diet today!
