Historically I have always been overweight, its a bad trait that was past down to me from the rents, my entire family is overweight. But in the last two years my weight had gotten a little out of control, and this of course was due to my diet and my inactivity during that period.
After Christmas my housemates told me about this great deal at GoodlLife Fitness clubs, they had waved all start up fees and had setup a biweekly payment plan, in all it costs 46$/month and I got a free gym bag out of it :D. So of course we all signed up. So this was the first week of January, so right after signing up at GoodLife I found out about this site and was amazed by it. Finally a free nutrition and workout guide online! I have been following my nutrition guide almost to a tee and basically make up my own workouts but I try to work out my entire body over a week and try to fit in cardio as much as possible. I do SPinning twice a week, Yoga once a week and run 5 miles 3 times a week. seems like a lot but I think I may be hooked on endorphins. Two years ago I used to do outdoor running three times a week and for some reason had stopped when I moved away from the countrry into the city. But now I get to do it in a gym which is good, So since I started I have lost 18 pounds, over an 8 week period which is about 2.25 pounds per week. Its a good rate, I have 60 pounds left to lose.

My biggest fear is the loose skin after I lose this weight. But better off with loose skin than bad health. But at the rate I am losing, I should not have a problem, I hope,,, Anyways, when I reach my goal weight, I will keep working out to tone and to shape my body. that is what I really look forward too. I also joined a dragon boat team for the summer. that will be a good workout too.
