It can be a real problem...
Especially when you work so hard all week in the office AND at the gym and you want a little reward.
But the bottle is no good for me and I need to try to cut down on the big A.
I tried cutting out beer because of the carbs. And I was pretty successful with that.
BUT the bacardi commercials showing that diet coke and bacardi are only a few calories really got me.
The big thing is that no matter how many calories are in alcohol, it can really put a slowdown on weight loss progress.
Here's why for me:
1. drinking alcohol makes me crave bad food
2. I'll eat WAY more than I would like when a little buzzed
3. Wine is basically like downing cups and cups of granulated sugar
4. The next day I barely feel like going to the gym
5. Your metabolism turns into a turtle from consumption of alcohol.
These are all good reasons for me to quit drinking altogether, but in a society that celebrates a good 'cheers' here and there, it's not the easiest thing.
I'm not sure if I'm going to say a big no to drinking but I would like to cut it down a fair bit.
Does anyone have any tips/comments about their success/failure in this process?
Would love to hear them!
