Feeling Empowered Makes All the Difference

This is honestly the first time in my life my weight loss journey has felt different.  In the past, after the second month I usually hit a plateau and feel defeated, leading to me being okay with rationalizing self-destructive behaviors.  This time, after the second month, I again hit a plateau and was stuck in the same up/down 3-4 lb. weight range for almost three weeks.  I was incredibly frustrated and started going down that same path of self-destruction and rationalization.  BUT...

This time I never stopped being conscious of what I was putting into my mouth.  This time, even though I am NOT a morning person, I never stopped getting up at 5 am to work out.  And this time, I never stopped believing in myself that I could break through my plateau.  I switched up my diet and calorie intake, focusing on eating more carbs in the morning than at night.  I kept up with my exercise routine, which moved over to a new stage earlier this week.  I continued logging into FitClick every day.  AND...

I lost weight again!!!

When I was working out this morning, I kept thinking, "For the first time in my life, I AM EMPOWERED TO MAKE A PERMANENT CHANGE!!"  I can't begin to tell you how that made me feel, and how it helped me power through my workout, start my morning feeling excited and with a huge smile, and appreciate my life.

This is my biggest change!
