What a day!

I spent the entire day learning how to drive a manual transmission dump truck and boy is my left leg tired!

Actually, all of me is tired. I think I'm gonna just have a soak in the tub and consider today to be a cheat day. I had a cheese quesadilla from a gas station at breakfast and a small slice of chocolate cake (co-worker had a birthday :x) in the afternoon, but I just don't feel up to tracking the diet and seeing how I failed miserably! It's ok though, every diet needs a day off. I declared it a skip day when I accidentally stalled the dump truck in traffic THREE TIMES in 5 minutes time and then almost hit a penske rental truck. I was stuck in the middle of the road trying to turn out of a driveway, letting go of the clutch too quickly and I nearly cried from the frustration of it all. The end result was about 8 hours straight practicing getting the truck to move from a dead stop without letting off the clutch too quickly. Oy! I did laps around the treatment plant the entire time :(!

Also, a random drug test got popped on me this morning and waiting in line for my turn to "provide a sample" totally put off my eating schedule. I ate breakfast 2 hours late and lunch was similarly late. Had a bag of stir fry veggies for lunch (carrots, water chestnuts, sugar snap peas, green beans and red/yellow peppers) at about 1:30 in the afternoon instead of 11 am. My yogurt and banana came home with me. I hate being out of sync!

Oh well, tomorrow is another day and I will do better! I'm hoping that a nice long epsom salt soak tonight plus taking it easy until tomorrow evening will give my leg enough rest to let me get in my DDR. If I can't make it to the full hour, I will at least give it my best to make it to 30 minutes of dancing. Oh shoot, I almost forgot that tomorrow is Friday and we will be going over to a friend's house in the evening as we do every week. Well, I guess I will have to be extra motivated to dance when I get home after that! Wish me luck! ^^
