Here we are again, thought I'd just take a minute to write down a few thoughts. Weighed myself in again on the hyper-accurate scales at work on Thursday, exactly one week since the last time I stepped on them: 281 pounds. If what I'm seeing is real, that would mean that I've dropped 7 pounds in the last week! Seems like a lot of weight to be losing in just a week, not that I'm complaining, but I'm not super excited yet.
I decided to make a short-term goal of 260 pounds, as well as my long-term goal of reaching 200 pounds. The doctors have been telling me that at a height of 5'11", I should weigh in somewhere around 173-175 pounds, but I graduated high school at 145, and came out of boot camp at 165, so I don't know if I'll ever see 175 again! I can't help but wonder how I would feel if I could get there, though.
At this point, the focus is just on NOT dying prematurely! I'm 42 years old, and I'd really like to see my girls graduate high school, college, and see my grandchildren grow. I'd just as soon not do it while looking down from a cloud!!
So far, my current eating habits haven't been too hard to maintain, of course my worst struggles come on the weekends, and late at night, in front of the TV. Luckily, I'm strong enough to snack on raw veggies and salads when I do snack. More to come.
