Jumping for joy!

FINALLY! After a few days of status quo, my weight went down a tiny bit on the scale this morning. It's not like I'm expecting instant results or that the scale should indicate a weight loss each day, but still... It's nice when it happens.

I'm wearing the new pants I bought after recently losing 10 lbs. They're a size 16; a size smaller than what I used to wear so I feel great about that. I can tell you, however, that I'm hoping that these will in turn become too big and need to be replaced with smaller pants. It has been many (MANY) years since I've worn a size 14.

Yesterday was a strange day. I tried to keep my calories low, but I think I went about it incorrectly. Another problem was that I didn't bring any water with me. I was dehydrated and started getting a headache in the early evening (while at my second job) and was feeling awful by the time I got home. I had to eat something to get my blood sugar back up so I ate more than I had planned much later in the evening. I know that's not wise, but in the end it took care of the headache. I woke up this morning feeling much better. To ensure I don't repeat yesterday's dry spell, I brought two bottles of water with me. Lesson learnt!

I've also noticed something else this morning (and this is going to sound silly, but bear with me). Because I've been eating less food, I haven't been going to the grocery store as often and am spending much less money on food. I know, "Duh?!", of course that's going to happen. In my case, I live alone so I only buy what I eat. Lately, that's been much less than usual. So much for building muscle hauling endless groceries home!
