Oh boy... Dinner at a glammed-up pub

Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 10:49 PM filed under Weight Loss postings
I knew going out with my friend this evening was going to mean trouble for my total calories for the day. After shopping for make-up (a girl can never have too much eyeshadow ), we went for dinner at what used to be a slightly dingy English pub which recently underwent an 'extreme makeover' to become a slightly upscale restaurant/bar serving English food.

I resisted the call of the fish and chips and macaroni and cheese (is that really Brit food?), but instead of trying their green salad with chicken and cranberries, which might have been a wise choice, I opted for good ol'bangers and mash. It was great! I even had a pint of hard cider, too. I'm not big on sweets so I gladly skipped dessert.

Luckily I had a very reasonable breakfast and lunch as preventive measures so my total calories isn't quite as crazy as it could have been.

I have a long day with 2 back-to-back jobs tomorrow so hitting the gym at 11 o'clock this evening is not going to happen. I need to be up by 5:00 a.m. The trouble is that I'm heading out for Korean food for lunch tomorrow. Love, love, LOVE Korean food! But somehow I expect the scale will make me pay for these last few restaurant meals.

I'm looking forward to my weekend off all jobs when I can just do my own thing, eat what I want, make time to excercise - and get some rest!
