My First Adjustment for my LapBand

Today was the first time to get a fill in my band. I had surgery on March 11th. I have a 10 cc band and it is filled to 6cc.
For those who don't know what I am talking about. Lap Band is a weight loss surgery. The Doctor puts a band around the top portion of the stomach, creating a small pouch the size of your thumb. This band can be filled with saline to tighten the opening to the lower stomach. There is a small tube that connects the band to a port (this is where the doctor inserts the saline). The tighter the band the fuller you feel longer....therefore eat less and lose weight. I am only able to eat about 1 cup of food at a time....3 meals a day. I consume about 700-800 calories.
I have reached my first weight goal!!!! I was 272 pounds in August 2009 at the beginning of this journey. At surgery I was 242....today I am at 220!!!! As I continue to add exercise and keep my food in check I will lose!!
