A Beautiful Saturday

This is my first blog posting ever so hang in there.  I have been married for 10 years and have 2 beautiful boys (8&9).  I have struggled with my weight for my entire life and see my oldest son starting on the same path.  I know how hard it is and don't want that for him.  So, I'm trying to get our family to eat healthier and be more active.  I want to be a better example for him since what you do is just as important as what you say.
I've been on this site since Monday and love it.  Better tools than WWs that cost $39.99/month!  It's been a pretty good week.  I have been exercising daily and cutting back.  I did eat Chinese last night, but limited myself to 1 plate and a cup of soup and no dessert - hopefully not too much damage done.
I got to go to a local park this morning with a friend and walk around Trade Days which is like a huge yard sale and no kids were allowed.  I'm learning to make time for myself and that it's ok to want some time for myself and not feel guilty for it!
Hoping to see some weight loss when I weigh in on Monday.  I'll be starting my second week.  This is going to be a long, hard journey, but it's one that I have to take.  I have gained 70 pounds in the last 10 years.  I hate looking in the mirror and wondering how I got so out of control!  It took years to pile it on, and I know that it's not going to come off easily, especially now that I'm getting older.  I also know (from experience) that I will have ups and downs along the way, but I am going to make it to the end this time.  My short term goal is to lose 25 pounds.  My ultimate goal is to lose 100 pounds.
