I felt so ashamed as I started walking this morning on my new treadmill. I was tired after only 5 minutes at 2.0! My legs were burning and I just wanted to stop. I did after 10. I wanted to cry.
I took a break and then I hopped back on. I am not going to give up, I thought.
This time I made it 11 minutes without stopping and I raised the speed to 2.5 and kept it there.
I got off still feeling small and defeated but the minor improvement helped my sense of self worth.
I kept thinking, what kind of 23 yr old girl can't make it for more than 15 minutes? The preset workouts on my treadmill are for 30 MINUTES! URGH.
Well, then, I got back on and hammered out 15 minutes at 3.0 and at a 2% incline!!! Stubborness has paid off!
It's still awful and not what I wanted but I showed improvement and that's what I'm going to do EVERYDAY. I am going to improve until I am where I want to be! :)
And hopefully, I can inspire my husband to do something about his weight as well.
Day One, you were a tough one- but you are complete.
