Wow! This is actually happening for me. I'm losing weight. It's coming off at a rate with which I'm comfortable so I'm really happy. When I joined FitClick on the day of my birthday, my first short term goal was to lose 6 lbs by April 30th. We're 5 days away from the deadline and I'm a mere 0.2 lbs from my goal! Awesome! I expect my weight will fluctuate up and down a bit, but it seems pretty clear that I'll meet my first goal. I'm already beaming with pride - and I'm not even there yet.  (I need an emoticon with a bigger smile.)

I'm really pleased with this site. It works for me. The numbers, charts and especially my friends motivate me. While I've been known to have restaurant meals on a semi-regular basis, I'm learning to make choices that will not sabotage my efforts. Having to track my food and be accountable to my friends when they check to see what I've been up to is one heck of a way to keep me on the straight and narrow.

So I've been giving a little thought to what my next short term goal should be. I like month-end goals so I'll go with May 31st as the deadline. Should I aim for another weight loss goal? Should I change it up and go for exercise-related goal (such as number of cardio and/or strength workouts tracked)? I'm not sure yet. I'll give it some thought. [I welcome any suggestions. What goals have motivated you?]

In the meantime, I plan to savour every moment towards the home stretch!
