Today I have been confronted by two obstacles on the road to a healthier life. The first and perhaps most important....I will admit that I have a problem with smoking....and I'm not talking about cigarettes here...nor am I referring to heroin or crack or anything like that, so I'm sure you can draw your own conclusions about which vice I'm meaning. I have smoked since I was 15, cigarettes I quit when I was 20. Now at twenty five, I am what you would call psycologically 'addicted' to a non addictive substance. So today I have decided to start slow, to get rid of a few reminders around the house and mentally prepare myself. My lungs!! They are begging for me to see reason and stick to it this time. Smoking doesn't make me happy, it's just a stupid habit, one I have cultivated into an unfortunate part of my otherwise healthier lifestyle.
The second, and less serious issue, is that I will not be going shopping for some decent runners as planned. Simply can't afford it at the moment :(
My poor hubby has holes and rips in his sad pair of shoes and mine are slipper type things that rip up the backs of my heel and in general hurt like hell. So I've become a bit depressed over not getting started with my runs. I am gonna have to dance/hoop my butt off every other day to make sure I don't gain anything back. Wish me luck!!! I need it.
