5 Months & Counting

Well today I have been working out & watching what I eat for 5 months. I feel like I should have felt when I was 30. There is no going back now. I realized that tonight when our family ate dinner at Dennys and all I looked for on the menu was what would be good for me, NOT what looked good. I get up in the morning now feeling energized & looking forward to breakfast which is 1/4 cup oatmeal with 1/2 cup nonfat milk along with a scoop of protein powder & water. I am eating small amounts every 2 hours now & my energy levels are amazing. I track everything I eat & the calories along with what workouts I do (thanks to this Website). Am I a fanatic? YES, you have to be to stick to it. I still spend lots of time with my family but they now realize that certain times of the day are set aside for my workouts & tracking.My wife and I last week met Jay Cutler (Mr Olympia) at a Max Muscle store here in Boise. I told him my age & that I was now working out & all he said was "Starting kind of late aren't you?" That discouraged me a bit but now my feeling is "I'll show you" & it's all hands to the pumps & that includes 300 angle bench sit ups every other day. I just keep thinking, what am I going to feel like in 3 years when I'm 60. OH YEAH!
