so eating right and losing no weight?

My mom has just started working out and eating right and what not.
For the last two weeks she has completley cut alchohol from her life, eats healthy, lean meats and fish. Vegtables, no grains, and she drinks like 15+ glasses of water a day.
She excersizes so much, spins while she watches tv, and when bored and the girl never stops moving.
She was so excited about her healthy new life style and then today she steps on the scale, and what!!!!! 5 extra pounds!
Does anyone know why this happened? Or how she can LOSE weight opposed to gaining weight? It seems as if the new lifestyle is healthy...
