So.....Last thursday I was watching old episodes of Supersize VS Super skinny and realized that I was nodding my head at the hot doctor saying that evil thing again, "calories in vs calories out equals how much you weigh," still I had never actually applied this to myself.  I said oh I eat too much and dont exercise enough but Im really fat because I must have a medical issue or something. So I decided to start using the FitClick not to change my diet at first but just to see what I was doing. Turns out my 235lbs was consisting on 13-1500 calories on the week days and 28-3500 on weekends. So I didnt eat enough on the weekdays considering my BMR is 2300cal and on the weekend I put away 2-2400 calories over my BMR. I dont eat the same things every day and Ill bet ya that sometimes in the past I would only put away 1000cal a few days a week and some days I put away closer to 5000. So all the weight I would have lost got stored as fat on the weekends. Busy days meant not eating much and the "family time" on the weekends meant lots of cooking and or going out to eat.  I remember saying "my weight goes up and down so much I must have water retention issues," No, Im just human.  On monday I changed my eating habits and was suprised how hard it was to remember to push my calories up to 1800 but I have done it for the last 3 days and this weekend I plan on tracking much closer to 1800. So now the stats. This week I lost 1.5lbs an inch off my waist and between .5 and 1.5 inches off everywhere else. My fat percentage went down 1.2% meaning 2.8lbs of fat lost. So upping my protein from a pitiful 20-30g per day to over 80g per day has built me 1.3lbs of lean body mass YES!  I really like thatwith this tracker I can concentrate on something like getting enough protein vs just looking at a total calorie count. I found that trying to get enough protein atomatically put my fat and carbs into a decent level and my calories naturally went above 1600 so I just had to push another 2 yougarts or a protein shake or just make sure my breakfast had a good hunk of protein in it. So no, Im not hungary, Im eating more. This weekend may be another story though; Im going to have to really pay attension to what Im putting in my body.
