Losing my insulation!

It has felt cold this week...but it is still mid- 20's degree c outside!
5kg lost over two weeks but it is noticeably colder and I have started to get the sniffles. Not going to use that as an excuse to stop the good work so far, including last nights visit to Outback Steakhouse. In the past it would have been some beers, a steak with chips and then chocolate brownie and ice cream - not this time though! Some chicken with a salad and some soup...and no desert :-)
2 weeks gone since starting this new regime and got my first comment about how I have lost weight - yippee others are starting to notice.
What has helped is exercising in the gym in the evening, after dinner, that way my body feels tired and that is fine because I will be sleeping shortly afterwards rather than trying to get through the day on a low and with no energy. Works for me.
Right, I am off to give hiking another go and my wife is coming along this week...lets see how it goes!
