My name is Gloria...aka, Glo. Last year I took a serious fall resulting in a very painful injury...bone spurs in my neck, a curvature of the spine, degenerative discs, a torn muscle and ligaments, crooked tailbone/sacrum, and some arthritis later...I'm on the road to recovery. It's been a long, tiring, and often painful road, but God is faithful and is my Healer. Day by Day, I'm getting better and better!
The first part was getting proper chiropractic work to put "humpty dumpty" back together again. At first, it was very painful. After numerous procedures to rule out more internal issues, I was able to take a walk.
I couldn't sit in a chair properly for about 6 months. If I did sit, I had to sit on a pillow or a donut ring. I sat in a backwards chair at work, and often times I just stood up at my desk, but even that was tiring. However, after a while, I noticed I was sitting longer and longer without terrible pain, and that's when I knew I was getting better.
I started walking, because walking really is the best exercise around, and although I love swimming and it feels great, we live in an area where it's really cold now, and I have no place close to swim. I was always able to stretch, and my husband, a karate instructor, was really helpful in teaching me new ways to stretch correctly, and he'd often help me stretch.
I realized that it was time to challenge myself a bit more now that I'm feeling better. I do get massages 2x a month, and because my job is a desk job, my doctor and massage therapist recommended that I keep moving and that I concentrate on strengthening my core. To do this, I need to get more proactive where my fitness level is concerned, but I also want to sustain proper nutrients in my body needed for good, overall health. So I'm about to embark on a new fitness and diet program with the help of FitClick. After this year, I had gain a bit of weight. I had been in a healthy weight range, but now I'm 15 lbs. out of the healthy weight range, and I'd feel much better with 30 pounds off to help my back.
I just purchased a Nutribullet for better diet-enhancing, healthy shakes that will improve my skin, brain, digestive system, and help with inflammation in my body. I also just stepped up my vitamin/supplement implementation to only put in my body what it needs for better overall health. This was easy, as I am a Shaklee Distributor. Now, I'm ready to start. It took me 14 months to finally get to this point, but I know that by spring, I'll be even better than I am today, and I thank God for getting me here! Life is Good!
Here's to our health!
