Psoriasis Diet: Treatments and Medicines

If you suffer from Psoriasis you probably already know that it is really hard to find the proper treatment for it. Psoriasis diet might be the right way for you to treat your condition before it gets even worse. But you have to know that treatments and medicines that helped other people are not necessarily going to help you too.

Psoriasis diet is usually the best way to prevent the attack. There are some nutrients that are recommended to include in your diet. I will write more details about them later on in this article. You will be able to learn what kind of food is appropriate for your condition and what you can do to reduce the symptoms.

Best nutrients for Psoriasis diet

The first nutrition that should be included in your Psoriasis diet is most definitely Zinc which can be found in shellfish. You should also eat food which is full of Omega 3 fatty acids which can be found in different seeds (sunflower, flax and sesame) and oily fishes like salmon and sardines.

You should also include a lot of anti-oxidants which can be found in different fruits and vegetables. Nuts, apricots, grapes, legumes, oregano and many other foods are full of antioxidants. Beta carotene is necessary for Psoriasis diet too. It can be found in green vegetables, apricots and carrots. You should also eat a lot of food which is full of folate, like cabbage, broccoli, peas and cereals.

What to avoid during Psoriasis diet

As I have already written, Psoriasis diet is usually very successful and everyone who suffers from this condition should try it out. But there are also some foods and drinks that you should avoid if you suffer from Psoriasis.

Some of the foods that you should avoid are tomatoes, spicy foods, red meat, dairy products and acidic foods. You should also avoid drinking alcohol.

Red Clover

Red clover is a perennial herb that commonly grows wild in meadows throughout Europe and Asia, and has now been naturalized to grow in North America. The red flowers at the end of the branched stems are usually dried for therapeutic use.
Red clovers are a source of many nutrients including calcium, chromium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, thiamine, and vitamin C. In addition to having many beneficial nutrients, it is also a rich sources of isoflavones (related to the isoflavonoids) which are powerful antioxidants.
Red Clover Plus based on it are the best cream for eczema. Many people have reported very positive results from applying red clover ointment to the skin to treat psoriasis!

Cleavers

Cleavers is a versatile herb from the Rubiaceae family of flowering plants.
The Cleavers main action is that of a diuretic. As a way of eliminating toxins from the body via the urinary system, it is used for kidney stones and other urinary complaints, such as cystitis. In addition, its eliminative nature means it is helpful in skin conditions.
It is highly recommended for skin problems such as psoriasis.

Natrium Muriaticum 6C

The salt Natrium Muriaticum 6C is effective in keeping the skin hydrated, maintain the health of cell membrane, reduce skin inflammation, eliminates the infected or dead skin cells, and reduces the formation of scaly skin. Natrum Muriaticum is a homeopathic psoriasis remedy available as medicated sugar pellets and is also highly recommended.

Kalium Sulphate 6C

Kalium Sulphate 6C is a tissue salt that helps to distribute oxygen throughout the body and to each individual cell. It keeps all cell membranes healthy. By providing essential oxygen to inflamed or infected cells, Kalium Sulphate 6C effectively assists healing, reduces inflammation and removes infected or dead cells. This tissue salt is well-known for its ability to treat stubborn psoriasis.

Vitamin E Therapy

Vitamin E Therapy has been successful in treating psoriasis. The normal dosage to treat psoriasis is 400 mg per day.

Lecithin

lecithin is a fatty product that plays pivotal roles in the overall health and integrity of cellular membranes. Lecithin is considered an amazing remedy for psoriasis. In it's granule form, take 3-4 tablespoons of lecithin every day for 2-3 months. In it's pill form, take 2 tablets before each meal (3 times a day). Daily doses of lecithin shows great results within 2-3 months.
