Last week I bought the Marathon snickers protein bar and just tried one. Wow it's the best protein bar I have ever eaten.I ate half for my afternoon snack and feel great. I love it when I learn I like the items that are actually good for me. I'm a big girl now!!

Well I just had 3 days of eating junk food and my protein. Back on track. good news is I stayed within "not losin" instead of gaining so at least that is good. Today i am having protein shake,coffee, and salad . Beyond that I don't know but I have Lean Cuisine in freezer so that could be the answer. I am redoing my bathroom so sanding,painting, and pulling up floors so hopefully that helps with exercise. Also daily housework and if nice out I have lots of outside work to do...So muc

The added protein seems to be doing its job, but now I read that if you give up too many carbs you really are just getting rid of the water carbs help you retain. So I decided to add the protein watch the carbs not cut them out(which I can't do anyways). I am trying to adopt an eating plan I can easily stick with in the future. Thanks holieta for the advice on measuring, I think that is what I will do. Its hard enough being dissapointed by the scales once a week I don't need that dissapointment also.
I bought some whey protein to add to my diet because I am trying the low carb and high protein diet and am always going over the carbs (by 48 grams) and only reaching half the protein. I'm a little leary about a weigh-in on Monday. This is my period time and will start anytime. I always weigh more before and am afraid I will let it rule how I eat the following week. I am trying hard to stay within my calories and eat better even though I would like to sit down with chips,cookies, and cakes and icecream. But in small amounts I will stay in my calories.One thing I have learned is when I eat the right amounts of the right foods I am hungry less. Yeah.

I discovered by accident that one of the reasons why I was always going over my calories is I was way too low and probably starving my body into stopping my very slow metabolism.Sooooo I increased the calories and can actually come in under. Buuuut I have to basically write off this week and don't expect to have lost anything and am trying to come to terms with this. O.k. I ate late last night which was wrong on many levels. But in my defense I still stayed under 2000 calories. I hope that doesn't sabatoge everything!!! Trying to be wiser today but nighttime is my evil time.

So I made it through another day. I didn't exercise but did a lot of lifting and walking. I did eat late last night but that is always an ongoing project in my life. I got right up today and did my scheduled exercises even though I was sore. I feel great and absolutley less sore than before I started. Yeah. Major for me.
