fat and need help

Hang in there. I feel the exact same way you do. It is depressing not to have control over yourself. But I just keep getting on the wagon everyday, hoping that one day it will stick.

Don't be so hard on yourself, if you are like me it has been a battle all your life, I am 54 and now have 74 lbs to lose to get to my goal. I know my downfall started from staying on the computer from the minute i get home from work until going to bed. I am the same way, when I go on a diet it seems like I am starved all the time. Well, I have been looking at myself in the mirror and it is awful what I am seeing. So when i eat something I think about what i look like. I am buying more healthy foods to have in the house, fruits, etc... if the bad stuff isnt there, you cant eat it. I am walking on my lunch at work now 30 minutes a day. Believe me going from my chair to anywhere made my heart rate go up. Something I read the other day really helped me put this all in perspective. What you look like on the outside reflects how you feel about yourself on the inside. I want people to see me and think I am happy, so I need to look that way. Dont look at it as a diet. It is a life change. Use a smaller plate and that will make it look like you are eating more. Also, drink or eat a bowl of hot soup before you eat. It will help feel you up. Vegetable soup is the best or broth low sodium. Good luck I know you will do it. Just remember a weight loss of 1-2 lbs a week is good.
