Tell Us Your Motivation

Hello,

I wanted to post a topic where everyone can add their two cents in.

Tell us what helps motivate you to continue on the path of health and fitness

Here's what motivates me:
- other people's success stories
- encouragement/support from my friends
- my upcoming wedding
- music

C'mon People

Thanx telling everyone what motivates you Cowgirltuff

....but for the rest of you, c'mon...

I want to know so that you can share with everyone that reads this...maybe your motivation will rub off onto someone else and cause them to be more successful...or you might find someone else's motivation interesting and give it a try which may give you results.

Let us know even if it's a little weird like writing your ideal weight on a post-it and then sticking on your fridge or mirror...or above your bed so that's the first thing you see when you wake up!

....it just might help someone else out

How can you not be motivated to continue on your journey when people come up and tell you how great you look??? The people I work with are quick to tell you when you've gone off track and are putting on weight, but they are equally quick to point out every pound lost too.
Other than that, the feel of being alone outside on my bike with no phone, no tv and no one demanding a piece of my time is a huge motivator. I can allow my mind to wander freely without interuption.

well besides the soon summer and pool season ahead what really gets me going is that I want to feel good.
I had awful anxiety attacks last summer and am on medicine for it but since I started working out about three months ago I feel amazing and rarely feel any need to take the meds....not being atached to a pill bottle = AMAZING!!!

I was discouraged when I saw that I wasn't losing wight but actually gained a lb!! I was angry actually but my coach at curves told me it was fine because I was gaining muscle!!! ME with MUSCLE thats a new one ;) but I actually did lose a lb of body fat too yay :))

ohh also what motivates me is knowing that I look great and will continue to look better. and my family and friends, boyfriend, and people at curves saying that I'm looking good and doing a good job.

What motivates me
My motivation for exercising is the point accumulating system that FitClick offers.... Take for instance yesterday, I was tired and didn't feel like exercising but I WANTED those 10 points that are given for exercising. Soooooo I got up and put my tennis shoes on and took a brisk walk for 45 min! Gosh I felt sooooo much better after that!

Wow...
My motivation just completel changed. Not only do I want to lose weight because of the health benefits. But I just watched my dad have 2 heart attacks( 1 mild and 1 massive) and a quadruple bypass in the last 2 weeks. Seeing everything he's going through from not taking proper care of himself is my major motivation...that and a
Little Black Dress that I would LOVE to wear again! Also, my
family's encouragement is a big part in it as well!

I would just like to be healthy
and I'm trying to take it one day at a time!

Motivation!!!
It is time to take over our minds and not allow what others think of us to motivate us. We must know what we think of ourselves to motivate us. Although I am not what I used to be I know I can renew myself because I believe in ME! Finally! I believe in me!

Setting and achieving my goals!
Nothing is more motivating than meeting the goals I set for myself. I try to have a constant list of little and big goals that I am working towards. As each goal is accomplished I am even more motivated to get to the next!

Oddly enough
Fitclick.....I dunno, something about seeing everything wrote down. Usually I try and quit relatively quick...Either I forget....or I get sick...and stop....sometimes its not even that serious...like i'd still eat bad, but start exercising...

Though doing this on here I really get to put things into perspective. I started two and a half weeks ago. I've been eating around 1500 a day and I walk about 25 miles a week. Which, for me is quite big since I used to, well lets face it, not walk at all, not to mention i've been lifting some too.

I know weight losing isn't the motivation....oddly enough. I mean I want to lose weight, but I honestly can't tell you if I've shed a lb yet, but i feel better and even after looking at my chubby self, i just keep telling myself...these things take time
