Truck drivers and dieting. Please help
Are there any truck drivers out there who have put on weight and cant seem to find healthy foods to eat during the day? I dont drive each day but we do live out of motels alot. So that means a trip to the convienience store each morning on our way to the location.
As many may be aware these "stores" are not very conducive to healthy eating so I am trying to figure out what they might carry that I could eat and not consume a ton of calories. We usually have to rely on these places for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner means going to some fast food place or a restaraunt.
The cab of my truck doesnt have room for an ice chest, unless I placed one somewhere on the outside during the day while working. If anyone has had this experience or has any advice it is surely appreciated.

good snacks
I deliver mail so i know what you mean about eating on the go. While I am delivering , I usually eat beef jerky . As for breakfast you should get yourself some type of breakfast bar and oj. lunch maybe get a deli sandwich ( turkey or lowfat ham) no mayo . Subway is about the best for a "fast food " place, but if you must go to a burger joint try to get grilled chicken sandwich without mayo and a baked potato . Remember you can still make semi healthy choices wherever you go. God bless , and good luck . Drive safely!

I work as truck driver at Elk Grove Movers in residential moving division. I want to know how men in our profession can lose weight?
