Finely mince garlic and onion and sautee in a little Pam until soft (about 3 minutes). Add spices like pepper and herbs if desired.

Drain and rinse black beans and blend until smooth in food processor.

Break bread into small pieces and add to bean mix. Also add onions and garlic. Blend again.

If necessary, add flour a little bit at a time to make thicker. This should almost be cookie dough consistency.

Spray large skillet with Pam and heat up. Form dough into patties and cook on skillet, 3 minutes per side. You will not be able to cook this on the grill, but you can probably warm them up on it. Some people say you can form patties and freeze them for the grill but I haven't tried that.

Experiment with recipe by adding mushrooms, zucchini, dried tomatoes, corn, spices, different types of beans, what have you! I used Ezekial bread because I had it on hand but you can use whatever bread you have around. Adjust nutritional info accordingly.
