Repeated same workout as Monday, but added a couple sets of crunches. Also explored the gym more. Very nice boxing room, lots of machines and a smallish free weights section, but I'll be going later in the evenings when there are fewer people, so it should be fine. Workout felt okay. Definitely a little sore from Monday, so I know I am doing the right thing by easing back into this. Will go for some cardio Friday night.

Went to my first workout on 2/14/2011 in a while. Started off really light and easy. Everything feels okay. Will do a short cardio workout tonight and go from there. Given I am looking to do the LA bike race in June, I think maybe I'll bring my bike shoes and get on the bike for a bit. Also, will bring my ipod this time. Was kind of a bummer to not have it last night.

My friend Dave is launching a new diet and exercise regimen. Initially as a show of support, I said that I would go on this journey with him, but now I realize that this is also for me. With work, almost six-month old twins and other stuff going on, working out has fallen by the wayside, and my "roomy" clothes now seem to fit much more snugly. D'oh! So what started over IM as volunteering to be Dave's wingman is now a full-fledged effort on my part as well. ...
